What is a widget and how does it work?
Widget is a useful tool that makes up a part of the Logaster affiliate program. The widget enables users to create professional logos right on your website. The user enters their company name, clicks “Create a logo”, and chooses from several logo designs generated by the widget. If the user doesn’t like any of the designs offered to them, they can try and create a logo again. Once the user decides to save, download or buy the logo they like, they’ll be taken to the Logaster website. You’ll be getting a nice commission from each sale.

Types of widgets
Logaster offers three types of widgets which differ by how they’re started:
1. Banner widget. The best thing about this type of widget is that the user instantly sees an input field for a company name, “Create a logo” button, and examples of products with logos. Its large size makes the banner widget an ideal choice for landing pages.
2. Pop-up widget which is started via click on the link. The advantage of this type of widget is that the link can be easily added anywhere on the website. Once the user clicks the link, a pop-up widget will appear in the center of the page. Basically, the pop-up widget looks exactly like the banner widget (see above), with the only difference that the user can close it.
3. Pop-up widget which is started via an input field. The input field is small and takes up little space on the website. Once the user enters their company name and clicks “Create a logo”, a pop-up widget will appear.

How to add a widget to a website
First, you need to register in the affiliate program. Read how to do it here. If you are already registered, then log into affiliate account and follow the instructions:
1. Go to the “Banners and links” tab.
2. Set up the filter. In the “Campaign” section, select the language of your widget. In the “Banner type” section, check “HTML banner”. Click “Apply” to enable the filter.
3. Click “Get banner code” and copy the code. The provided code is written for the 1st type widget (type=”1″) by default. If you need the 2nd type widget (pop-up widget which is started via click on the link), replace “1” with “2”. For the 3rd type widget (pop-up widget which is started via an input field), replace “1” with “3”. You can also customize other parameters, such as logo colors, logo themes, etc. To see all the available parameters, read the Description to the code.
4. Add the code to your website.
5. Add a link to your page with the widget to the “Direct links” section of the Affiliate program. This is how you do that. Go to the “Banners and links” tab. Click the “Direct links” icon and then “Add URL address”. Insert your link into the field and click “Save”. As the next step, write to us at v.holiney@logaster.ru, and we’ll approve the link.
