What design products did you need?

Branding is the first thing that grabs a customer’s attention. If you manage to make a customer curious, you win. Branding can make a product recognizable. In customers’ minds, branding associates your business with a certain mission, history, values, and characteristics. This is why it’s important to create a memorable and legible branding that would have a deep meaning and stand out from the crowd.

What did you like about Logaster?

Basics of Visual Design: How to Create a Balanced Logo https://www.logaster.com/blog/basics-of-visual-design/ Thu, 07 Nov 2019 15:30:39 +0000 https://www.logaster.com/blog/?p=16899 What do you see when you look at logos used by major brands? They must be much more than just trendy images!

Let’s play a game. Imagine that you are a doctor and your logo is your patient. In this post, we’ll be looking into the anatomy of brand identity. In simple words, let’s outline the top 17 graphic design principles which are trending in 2019.

Lines

Linear logo

Source – Omnium

Lines are a great tool for expressing the “personality” of your design. For example, straight lines make the composition look solid and reserved, wavy lines convey dynamics, and zigzag lines translate the feeling of uneasiness. Nowadays, many logos consist of one continuous line. Plus, there are the so-called “guiding lines.” As their name suggests, they “guide” the user’s attention through the content.

Scaling

Large logo

Source – Chris Calo

Scaling is used to express the real-life size of an object in relation to other objects. Also, scale is successfully used for highlighting important details even though their size is far from being impressive. Scaling allows to create a 3D effect, making some elements look closer or more distant. This is how designers build the hierarchy of elements.

Color

Color logo

As you might already know, different colors can have different effects on a person. For example, red stirs up our feelings. Blue, on the contrary, has a remarkably calming effect. At the same time, yellow is believed to boost appetite! When choosing the right hues for your graphic design, be sure to educate yourself on the psychology of colors first. A balanced combination of 2 or 3 shades can have the desired effect on the audience. If you’re looking for a bold look, you can’t go wrong by pairing two contrasting colors. Mesmerizing colors palettes, filters, and visual effects give you plenty of creative tools to choose from!

Repetition

Form style

Source – Mr.Mockup™

Using your brand identity on printed materials and online carriers is a straightforward way to make it more recognizable. When designing your website, be sure to repeatedly use your logo across different patterns and textures. If you take the trouble to design all you corporate elements in the same style, you’ll get a coherent corporate identity that will instantly strike as solid and professional.

Symmetry

Source – Esence

Symmetry has the power of instantly catching the human eye. This is why symmetrical logos look so attractive! If you feel like your design lacks something, why not try to add some symmetry to it? By the way, the best logos are often those where symmetry is only hinted at.

Typography

Typography in logo design

Source – Richard Smalley

For printed materials, be sure to use a font with serifs. As for sans serif fonts, save them for web. If you’ve decided to combine several typography options, take the time to select the matching ones. Print out your design and look whether the fonts create a balanced combination. Use expressive typography for highlighting headers and other important details. Sadly, there is a limited choice of good Cyrillic fonts. On the brighter side, you can easily find some excellent options among Latin fonts.

Transparency

Transparent business card

Source – Jennifer Kiza McDonald

Transparency is very powerful tool that should not be overlooked. By overlapping different elements, you can create the effect of depth and dynamics. Transparent plastic is a very popular material among modern designers. It can create the feelings of harmony and cleanness. You clients are sure to value your creativity conveyed through transparent business cards, price lists, and other brand identity designs.

Texture

Fashion is not the only industry where textures are playing a huge role. Graphic design also depends on textures for its creative expression! Avoid too heavy textures unless you want to clutter your design. Go for light, unobtrusive textures that can bring out the best in your brand identity. By the way, textures can be applied not only to a logo but also to its carriers.

Negative space

Negative space

Source – şamil bekiryazıcı

In graphic design, negative space works like a focus. Take the space between the elements of your logo and use it to create new senses and metaphors! With this technique, even the background can communicate a meaning!

Hierarchy

Logo hierarchy

Source – Farrel Nobel

Split the elements of your design into three categories: key, basic, and additional ones. This is how you build the hierarchy of elements. Highlight the most important elements by using a bold color, scaling, or other methods. Basic elements should be less eye-catching but still visually engaging, while additional elements should be very subtle.

Balance

Balanced logo

Source – Ksenija Mihailovic

When it comes to the accurate perception of a design, even the tiniest detail matters. Let’s debunk a common myth by saying that balance can be achieved even through asymmetry.  In an asymmetrical composition, paired elements may look different but have the same expressive power. Try to combine two elements by making one of them bigger and the other one brighter.

Contrast

Contrast logo

Source – Pablo Rozenberg

Contrast is an ideal tool for expressing yourself. Designers use this technique to make their visual content more clear and engaging. Experiment with contrasting colors, fonts, textures, transparency levels, etc. The results may surprise you!

Grid

Grid logo

An orderly composition is always easy to understand and remember. In graphic design, order is achieved through using the module grid. Don’t be lazy to align the elements of your design to make it look neat and visually attractive. The more sophisticated your design is, the more rows and columns your grid will have. The grid makes your content easier to process.

Break the rules

Custom logo Fanta

Source – Haen Creative

Designers would not be designers if they didn’t bend the rules from time to time. Breaking the established procedures is a fine way of displaying the brand personality. Asymmetry, unexpected color combinations, original decorative fonts. The tools for making your design rebellious are plenty! At the same time, you need to make sure that your brand identity remains stylish and universally clear.

Movement

Rocket Go Logo

Source – Logo machine

You can add dynamics and flow to any image, even a static one. To breathe a life into your design, use semi-transparent or blurry lines. This way, you can create the illusion that your icon is moving! Don’t get carried away though! Otherwise, you risk ending up with a composition that is heavy and bulky.

Depth

Sneak logo

Adding depth is another way of making your design stand out. Experiment with shades, use overlapping techniques, and play with perspective…The options are many! The depth effect allows you to convey dynamics and change, as well as rank the elements by their priority.

Composition

Now it’s time to combine all the techniques mentioned above to create a smart, engaging design. By being open to different combinations, effects, and tools, you can take your brand identity to a new level, leaving your competition far behind. After all, pushing the envelope is a sure way to get singled out by the audience, and this is what we all are here for!

Brand Evolution of Natural Fit. An Interview with the Founder Marie Laimgruber https://www.logaster.com/blog/natural-fit-story/ Tue, 05 Nov 2019 09:58:54 +0000 https://www.logaster.com/blog/?p=16809 Niche: Sports and health
Project: Natural Fit
Role: Mastermind, founder and CEO
Geo Target: Austria

Marie Laimgruber is the founder of the sports brand Natural Fit. She knows how to take care of her health and gladly shares her expertise with others. She began her career in 2005 as a lifeguard, later studied at the Faculty of Physical Culture at Palacky University Olomouc and got her master’s degree in “Sport + Biology”. However, she didn’t stop there. Maria continued to advance herself and now she is also a ski instructor, a specialist in classical and sports massage, and a mountain guide. In 2019, she took a course on spiral stabilization of the spine.
We don’t know about you, but we’re totally impressed! If you are like-minded and dreaming about having your own sports business, read on!

How did you come up with the idea of launching the brand Natural Fit?

I’m a passionate sports lover. For me, movement is freedom. At the same time, physical activity often takes a toll on our muscles and causes pain. To be healthy and in harmony with your body, you need to do compensation activities. This is how I discovered the Spiral Stabilization method developed by Dr. Richard Smisek. I’d like to share this approach with everyone who wants to do sport without sacrificing their health.

I live in Pinzgau. It’s a very picturesque place. Nature is a powerful source of health and strength we can tap into. I’d like to guide other people through this process and help them. I’d like to have my input.

What is the main goal of your project?

I work as a coach, providing assistance in training. Plus, I run a spine stabilization program.

For a human being, the most natural movement is walking. The place I live, with its amazing landscapes, offers a perfect environment that makes you want to wander around for hours. While walking, we don’t only flex, but also extend our joints. Why is it important? Because most of us spend much time sitting, and our muscles remain flexed too long. Many sports are also based on muscle flexion. This is why compensation activities are vital.

The Natural Fit concept brings together breathing, diet, movement, rest, physical exertion, and psychological education. Those are the key areas that have a huge impact on our health. If you know how a human body works, you can optimize these areas to become healthy and happy. The good news is that nature can help you with that a lot. Using the Natural Fit method doesn’t cost much. I don’t sell anything. I only offer my time and knowledge.

How do you promote your project?

I distribute flyers. I also benefit from Facebook ads and word-of-mouth. As for which method delivers the best results, only time will tell.

What or who inspires you and why?

I get inspiration from people who are open to the world and willing to explore new things.

How do you grow and develop professionally?

I read a lot and do training courses.

How do you see the future of your project? What would you like to achieve?

I’d like to introduce the Natural Fit concept to as many people as possible. I want people to know that much of what we need can be found in nature.

What is the main thing that future coaches must keep in mind?

To be able to help people, you first need to listen to them. Only then can you make suggestions. As Henry Ford said, “if there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view.”

How to Start a Dropshipping Business https://www.logaster.com/blog/what-is-drop-shipping/ Mon, 28 Oct 2019 11:22:45 +0000 https://www.logaster.com/blog/?p=16447 Contents:

Dropshipping is a popular and time-tested model for launching your own business. The beauty of this concept is that you only take care of marketing. All the rest – including manufacturing, storage, packaging, and shipping – is the responsibility of a supplier. Find a reliable supplier, generate a consistent flow of leads – and your startup is up and running!

What is dropshipping and how does it work?

Dropshipping is a business model where the seller (dropshipper) markets products and takes orders while the manufacturer is involved in consolidating and shipping orders to the customers.
Amazon was among the first companies to use this model. Today, about 33% of the companies that entered the market 3-4 years ago are using the dropshipping model.

How much you earn depends solely on your marketing skills. For example, the wholesale price for a product is $30. You you manage to sell it for, say, $45 from your website, you make a $15 profit.

Dropshipping divides the responsibility between the partners: while the manufacturer focuses on production, warehouse management, and delivery, the dropshipper takes care of marketing and promotion. A model like this is ideal for online businesses: dropshippers can display products on their websites and social media pages and accept payments via online payment services.

Keep in mind that it’s the dropshipper’s responsibility to settle customer complaints concerning late shipment, damaged goods, etc. Plus, you’ll have to deal with returned goods and refunds. In this context, choosing a reliable supplier is essential. If you value your time and nerves, be sure to approach this issue with all seriousness. At the same time, working with a most responsible and disciplined supplier can’t guarantee that you won’t have to smooth out conflicts with clients.

How do I start a dropshipping business?

The minimum budget for starting a dropshipping business depends on a number of factors and varies from 10 to 50 thousand hryvnia. If you have some experience in online marketing, you’re lucky! This means you won’t have to spend your budget on marketing specialists. Your expertise will be your main asset in promoting your dropshipping business internationally. You’ll still have to hire freelancers to do specific jobs, such as website development and design.

If, however, you have zero experience in marketing, this won’t be a problem. The Internet offers hundreds of 101 guides on context advertising, social media marketing, etc. By reading a few materials every day, you can educate yourself on all dropshipping-related issues in less than a week!

Launching a dropshipping project involves 5 major steps:

  1. Choose the right niche.
  2. Analyze your market and competition.
  3. Search for suppliers.
  4. Open an online store.
  5. Choose and master promotional strategies.

Let’s scrutinize each of these steps one by one. Other useful tips for starting a business you can find here.

Choose the right niche

Start with asking yourself what products you’d like to sell. Maybe you go crazy for fashion? Or you’re a fan of technology and electronics? If you choose the industry you feel passionate about, it’ll be easier for you to relate to the needs and wishes of your target audience. In fact, you’ll feel like one of them! Plus, selling the products you like will make you enjoy your job more.

However, not everyone is guided by passions and interests. If you’re only inspired by statistics (which is a good trait for an entrepreneur), you can analyze the popularity of different products and select the one with the biggest revenue potential. Luckily, there is no lack of tools that can help you with that.

The first tool we recommend is Google Trends that shows popular search results by seasons. For example, selling mosquito nets in fall is hardly a clever idea. However, in spring and summer this business becomes a money cow. On the Google Trends website, enter the product name (bags, bed linen, clothing, etc.) and see the dynamics of customer demand for that product in your region over the recent year.

google trends

Another helpful tool is Serpstat. The first 5 search results are free. To continue using the service, you have to upgrade to a paid account. Anyway, you can use the 5 free search results to complement the picture obtained through Google Trends.

Along with the most frequent searches, the service will show you:

  • trends and search request variations;
  • competitive ads;
  • related search requests.

Our tip is to analyze all related search requests and collect as much data as possible. For example, if you’re considering the idea of selling bed linen, you need to analyze such requests as “pillow”, “blanket”, “children’s bed linen”, etc.

2. Analyze your market and competition

The next step will be to do some market research. Using the tools mentioned above, you’ll be able to make a list of 10-15 major competitive websites. At this stage, you need to answer the following questions:

  • What product range do my rivals offer?
  • Which products are the most popular among customers?
  • What is the price range for the same product across the existing sellers?
  • What special offers do my competitors have?
  • What are the standard terms for payment and shipment? What does the standard return and exchange policy look like?
  • How user-friendly and functional are my competitors’ websites?
  • Which pages on competitive websites generate the highest traffic?
  • Are my competitors active on social media? Are they using Google context ads?

Before getting down to analysis, take a closer look at your competitor list and remove major wholesale platforms, such as Ulmart, RusOptovik, Aliexpress, Ebay, etc. Competing with these market giants is beyond your power just yet, so it’s easier to simply ignore them at this stage.

Search for suppliers

Now you have the general idea of the market you’re about to enter. You know how the average business in your niche works, what products your competitors offer, and how the prices vary from vendor to vendor. Your next task is to find the companies that will supply you with your selected product (products) on good terms.

When choosing the best supplier, consider the following factors:

  • Language. Keep in mind that Chinese suppliers tend to have a rather poor knowledge of English which means you’ll probably need a translator.
  • Geography. While shipment from Asia takes 5 to 12 days, some local suppliers can deliver the order within 1 day.
  • Shipment and delivery terms.
  • Easy access to information on available inventory. Your website must display relevant and accurate information on which products are in and out of stock.
  • Prices and payment policy.
  • Does the supplier has fixed monthly charges regardless of the sales volume?
  • Minimum order size. Some suppliers oblige dropshippers to pay for a certain amount of goods in advance.
  • Unit price for dropshipper.
  • Payment methods.
  • Marketing materials (product photos and specifications, etc.).
  • Possibility to order product samples.

To find suppliers, enter “suppliers dropshipping”, “supplier base dropshipping” and similar search requests. There are websites where suppliers are categorized by type of product, geography, customer ranking, etc. Plus, you can find dropshipping-themed pages on social media and in messengers. For example, in Telegram, there are channels with exhaustive information on working with different suppliers.

4. Open an online store

Before creating a website that will serve as a “shopping window” for your business, take the time to answer these important questions:

  • What product (products) will you be selling? What is your pricing policy? This will help you understand whether you’ll be OK with a small landing page or have to build a fully-fledged website with 10-300 pages.
  • Who are your target audience (age, gender, geography, lifestyle, expectations, etc.)? How are you going to catch the attention of your potential customers?
  • What is your budget? How much time do you have for launching an online website? Do you have enough money to reinvest in your project during the first months?

Once you’ve got these questions sorted out, you can start working on your online store. You need to come up with a catchy name, logo, and corporate colors. When it comes to creating a unique brand identity, there are plenty of professional logo making services, including Logaster.

The next step is to find a seasoned web developer and layout designer. Alternatively, you can use website constructors, e.g. Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy.

Once your website is ready, you need to fill it with information on your products, shipping terms, refund policy, etc. Make sure your content is written in simple words. Avoid industry-specific terms that may be confusing for common users. Your customers must have as many methods to contact you as possible. Add your phone number, email address, messengers, etc. Don’t forget to add the time and days of week when the customer support will be available.

5. Choose and master promotional strategies

To make your business known to your target market, you need to explore the world of online marketing. This can be quite a challenge but we’re here to help you.

There are several strategies for promoting an online store:

  • Search engine optimization. You need to optimize different elements of your website (images, texts, headers, links, etc.) so that popular search engines consider it more relevant and useful for visitors. As a result, your online store will be ranked higher in search results. While this is a relatively cheap promotional strategy, the first results will only show in 3-4 months. Plus, you’ll have to make the so-called “SEO audits” every 6 months.
  • Context advertising. This is a sure way for landing among top 3 search results. Context advertising is done by PPC specialists. First, you need to pay for setting up an advertising campaign suited for your goals and needs. Then you pay each time someone clicks on your ad and get redirected to your website. The first results arrive pretty fast, but it’s a good practice to wait 2-4 weeks before measuring the performance of your ad campaign.
Context advertising
  • Advertising on social media. If you’re selling products via your Facebook or Instagram page, you can attract customers by placing target ads in your selected social network. The good thing is that your ads will be finely targeted to your audience. For example, if you’re selling children’s toys, your ads will be displayed to mothers with kids aged 0-3 years. If your main product is sneakers, your ads will target men whose hobby is sports and jogging.
Advertising on social media
  • Promotion via forums, blogs, business directories, etc.
  • Promotion via price comparison websites and e-commerce platforms.

The third place belongs to gyro scooters. Your target audience will be young people of 18-25 years and parents who buy gyro scooters for their teenage kids. A market with trendy children’s goods is another goldmine for businessmen. The secret is that most purchases in this niche are made by mothers and grandparents under the influence of emotions. If you’ve got your eyes on this market, you will need to create a special environment on your website. The design of your online store must convey the feelings of serenity, peace, and relaxation. This is a sure way to boost sales. The top popular items include teddy bears, reborn dolls, and baby accessories.

Like any other business model, dropshipping has its strong and weak sides. Let’s start with challenges and drawbacks:

  • You have zero control over the quality of products and shipment times.
  • It may be hard to get product info (high-quality photos, descriptions, specifications, etc.) from the supplier.
  • You have to deal with complaints about damaged goods, late shipment, etc.
  • Finding a reliable supplier who is nice to work with can be tricky.

At the same time, there is a number of reasons that make dropshipping a successful money-making strategy:

  • Low level of risk because you don’t need to worry about production, storage, logistics, etc.
  • Low investments
  • Great opportunity for testing business ideas
  • Great business for people with online marketing experience
  • You can launch a dropshipping business within 1-2 months
  • You can combine your dropshipping business with your main job
  • You can make up to 500% profit on each unit.

As you can see, the pros overweight the cons which makes dropshipping an ideal business model for your first entrepreneurial experience. If you manage to discover a profitable niche and partner with disciplined suppliers that share your goals and interests, you have all chances to become the owner of a thriving business.

“More Than Loops” Online Fashion Store: How It All Started https://www.logaster.com/blog/more-than-loops-story/ Fri, 25 Oct 2019 10:58:39 +0000 https://www.logaster.com/blog/?p=16403 Niche: Online sales
Project: More Than Loops – online clothing store
Role: Mastermind, founder and CEO
Geo Target: Global

Ali Al Majed is the founder and owner of More Than Loops, an online store that sells fashionable clothing. In this interview, he tells the story behind launching the store from scratch and making his first sale. Also, Ali shares some really useful tips for entrepreneurs. If your ambition is to open an online shop, learning from someone’s experience first-hand is the best help you can get.

How did you come up with the idea of opening an online store? Have you had any prior experience working in this field?

Back in 2018, I was unemployed. While surfing through Facebook, I came across a Shopify ad and got hooked on the idea of launching my own store. I spent hours educating myself on the subject. Three months later, my store was up and running, and I had already made my first sale. I have never worked in this field before but it was interesting to explore it.

How did you find the best suppliers for your store?

The beautiful thing about Shopify is that it links you to Chinese suppliers that work in the same niche as you. I chose to partner with several reliable suppliers that specialized in clothing for men, women, and children.

How many people did you have to hire to launch and manage the store? How many people are currently on your team and what jobs do they perform?

Honestly, I did everything myself. I created a website and filled it with content. I added photos and videos. I also did (and continue doing) bookkeeping myself. It was a slow and challenging process because I had to learn everything from scratch. Plus, if you want to be on top of your game, you need to know all the ins and outs of online marketing.

How do you promote your business?

Currently, I’m promoting my store on Instagram and Facebook. Plus, word-of-mouth is doing a great job. Facebook ads play a big part in pushing my products, allowing me to reach audience all over the world.

With your clients coming from different time zones, how do you optimize your customer service? Do you use any tools?

Chatbots are of great help in answering the questions users may have. On top of that, customers can reach us at any time — this is what the “Contact Us” page is for. I’m also using Shopify’s Ping tool for posting news and updates on social media.

What was your first sale and how did it make you feel? How did you organize the delivery?

It all started from an ad I placed on Facebook. When I woke up the next day, there it was! The first order from my first customer! I felt pumped and motivated. I wanted to do the job without a hitch. So I contacted the supplier to provide them with the delivery address. I also made sure that the product would be shipped as soon as possible. The customer was very happy with the delivery and provided great feedback which I passed on to the supplier. It felt great to be appreciated.

Mistakes can help a business evolve and allow the owner to see what works and what not. What mistakes should be avoided when opening an online store?

  • You must know your suppliers and the types of products you’re selling.
  • You must know how your products are manufactured, how they are shipped, and how long the shipment takes.

As a business owner, you know the power of good customer service. An overwhelming 96% of consumers say customer service is one of the priorities when choosing a brand. You are probably already using email marketing software to automate the operations and improve customer service.

Take another step forward and create a professional email signature that impresses the customer. Here’s a simple-to-follow guide on how to do just that.

Email signature basics

Most of you know what an email signature is. You’ve seen it hundreds of times in business emails. You’ve probably seen so many of them, you’ve developed a sort of banner blindness for email signatures. While this is true for many people, you can still use email signatures to add value to your email. Here’s why your emails may need a good email signature:

  • To remind the customer of your company
  • To give them a quick way to contact the sales rep
  • To let them navigate your site quickly
  • To share your social media contacts
  • To advertise

Getting five benefits out of a short piece of text is amazingly efficient. You can achieve the main goals of an email signature by these four core components.

  • Name
  • Role in the company
  • Company name
  • Phone number

If you want your email signature to perform at its highest, throw these into the mix.

  • Photo
  • Company logo
  • Website address
  • Links to key pages
  • Social media buttons
  • Call to action

Even if the person reading the email doesn’t read the signature, they will see the company name or logo you put there. The people who need to contact your sales representative as soon as possible will see the phone number conveniently put there.

Those users who do read the signature may be interested in visiting your website, so a set of links to the most converting pages will be the right fit for them. You can catch the attention of the readers by featuring a link to something you want to promote with a powerful CTA.

An email signature can be a multilayer marketing tool in the right hands. Here’s how it may look.

Best Email Signature Designs for Inspiration

Even if you choose to do the bare minimum with your email signature, it can look good and perform its function. Professional institutions often use this simple formula to communicate more information to their readers.

Here’s another email signature that looks simple. But give it a second look, and you’ll see that it does more than you think.

Despite its simple form, this signature gives the reader the option to check out social media pages, visit the website, check the blog, or make a reservation. That covers a wide range of functions for a wide range of clients.

The next signature is fairly simple when it comes to colors, but it uses the ability to upload pictures to an email to create a great design.

This one is a bit more colorful, but it remains the same in terms of function. Note that the links in this signature suit the context. Instead of offering to check out the blog, you get the option to read this bar’s menu.

This email is pretty straightforward in terms of format, but it draws attention with the design. It’s not just about the email though, a great logo design ensures it draws attention everywhere.

How to create an email signature

Are you ready to create a professional email signature? Here are your options when it comes to doing that.

Your email software

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that the email software you use has a way of making a super simple signature. The most widespread ones, Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Gmail certainly do.

If you’re using Gmail, here’s what you have to do. Go to Settings > Signature, and change the radio button from “No Signature” to your preferred email.

If you’re using a secondary email to send business emails, be sure to check it in this section. Didn’t know you could do that?

Here’s a quick tip along the way: you can use Gmail to forward emails from multiple business accounts like email@yourwebsite.com. It’s really handy because most cPanel email clients are inconvenient. Your hosting has to allow forwarding though (follow this link to learn more about email forwarding on your hosting).

Gmail to forward emails

Gmail gives you some control over the content, but it doesn’t let you resize images. It only gives some options, which might not be enough for you, and you’ll have to change the image in the editing software before adding it. You can’t tie the link to the image, either.

Outlook mail client gives you more basic HTML options, but it doesn’t let you resize the image at all.

Email signature

Mozilla Thunderbird is more stripped-down. You can only make a basic signature if you know the basic HTML tags.

If these basic options are not enough for your signature, here’s what you can use instead.

Hubspot generator

Hubspot email signature generator is very simple to use, and it saves you time on coming up with a good font combination and spacing. All you have to do is type in your information in the form, and you’ll get a signature that looks like this.

A short signature like this fits in 5000 symbols of codes. Yes, email coding can become rather bulky.

Here’s a pro tip for using Hubspot’s generator. Don’t let the “Create Your Own Free Signature” link scare you. To remove it, copy the code, and find this phrase in the code. Delete the whole table that contains it.

The code ends with the tag “</table>”. Look for the “<table>” tag that is the closest to the end. Delete all the code complete with these tags. The code you have to delete is highlighted on this screen.

Other generators

If Hubspot design doesn’t seem right for you, there are dozens of other generators on the web. Try them out and see what generator has the features you need. Start with MailSignatures or DesigHill, they offer more customization and are pretty reliable.

Email frameworks

Want total control over your email signature? Don’t create it with a generator you’ve found on the internet, code it yourself! Zurb is a great framework that allows you to write email code in CSS in Foundation instead of learning the outdated table layout.

This way you have complete control over what your signature looks like. If you start using it, you may as well add some design to the emails themselves.

Don’t have coding skills? You can always hire a professional or ask someone from your IT department to do it. If the only thing you need is a signature, it won’t cost you much.

When you’re done with creating the signature, go to your email client and paste the code into the signature. Now, your brand new signature is going to help customers recognize you.

Conclusions

While the more advanced options of creating an email signature seem hard, you can always go for a web-based generator. With a new signature, you’ll be able to create more value for the customers, letting them access your website and social media right from the email.
